Join the Coast & Castles Challenge Ride and raise money for Sustrans 25 to 27 September 2009 This 176 mile challenge fundraising ride on National Cycle Network routes 1 and 76, follows some of the UK's most stunning coastline from Gateshead to Edinburgh.
Highlights of the trip include; * start from Baltic Wharf in Gateshead, across the iconic Gateshead Millennium bridge into Newcastle * exclusive tour of medieval Alnwick Castle, filming location for the Harry Potter films, with dinner in a private room of the Castle on the evening of day one * lunch stop on day two overlooking Lindisfarne * traffic-free home run around Arthur's Seat to the finish line in Edinburgh. Prices start from just £120, which includes two nights camping accommodation, luggage transfer, support vehicles, daily route maps, water, energy drinks, 2 x breakfast, 3 x lunch, 2 x dinner, special edition t-shirt, Sustrans water bottle, guided tour of Alnwick Castle. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship, but please don't feel you have to stop there!
